3 Reasons You Need To Have Window Screens

Unless you work with window screens, most people don’t even give them a second thought.  Window screens are either already on the windows when someone moves in to a home, or they aren’t.  Many don’t even think about needing them if their home happens to not have them.

But here are 3 very important reasons why everyone should have window screens on their homes.

Reason #1 for Having Window Screens: Critter Control

Keeping your pets in your home and unwanted animals and bugs from the outside out of your home is all done by just having a window screen in.  Imagine not being able to open your windows because you are afraid that your beloved cat will jump right out the open window and runaway.  Or how would you feel being stuck in a house with no fresh air during the summer because if you open your windows the mosquitoes will come in and make it even more miserable for you.

Reason #2 for Having Window Screens: Financial Savings

Having screens on your windows allows you to open them day and night without having to worry about the wind blowing things in or other unknowns coming through.  With being able to open the windows day or night you can get a good breeze of fresh air going through the house to cool it without having to continuously run the air conditioner.

In the winter, the window screens make it possible to safely open the windows and allow in fresh air to chase away the stale air that has all the airborne junk in it that makes us sick during the winter.  The fresh air in the house decreases the chance of getting sick and saves us from having to purchase cold remedies and make trips to the doctor’s office for treatment.

Reason #3 for Having Window Screens: Home Interior Protection

As flimsy as some window screens may feel, they are actually an effective barrier between the inside and the outside of the house. For an example, if there are children outside playing and a Frisbee or a ball gets out of control and heads to your window, it will safely bounce off the screen.  If the window screen was not there, the item would fly into your home and most likely do damage to anything by the window that it hits or knocks over.
