If Windows Could Talk

You have a busy, demanding lifestyle. Between taking care of the family, working full time, and managing a social life, you barely have time for yourself! If you barely have time for yourself, your home could be suffering, especially your windows. In fact, if windows could talk, here is what they would tell you.

Clean me! “Hey, it’s me, your window. I know you’re really busy and don’t have much time, but I really need to be cleaned. I know that you don’t think it’s important, but clean windows can really make a home shine! When I’m clean, the whole home seems brighter. You’re stressed and bummed out, but I promise that, once I’m squeaky clean, I’ll lift your spirits every time you walk through the door.”

I need a screen! “Remember that time when Johnny ripped my screen? Well, I hate to be a bother, but you never replaced it. I feel naked without it. You don’t leave the house before getting dressed, but day after day, I sit here, exposed to the world without my cohort. It’s not just me at risk either; my screen would help protect you too! Every time you open me up, my screen would keep bugs, critters, dirt, and pollen out of the house. I wish I could do my job effectively, I really do, but I really need a new screen.”

I’m too old for this. “I know you don’t come up here too often; if you did, you’d know how long it’s been since I was installed. I’ve worked hard for years and protected you and your home with no regrets. I’m old now and it’s time for me to retire. I’m an outdated model in a young-windows world, and I can no longer perform the way I used to. I’m not air tight and water seeps through my framing. The time has come, don’t worry, I won’t mind, and my job is done.”
