Security

All Renewal by Andersen patio doors come standard with patio door locking systems specially designed by our parent company Andersen® Corporation. Our sliding patio doors feature a unique reach-out locking system that pulls the door snugly into the jamb and actively latches when closed. The snug fit also helps improve the sliding door’s energy efficiency. We also offer an auxiliary foot lock that adds an extra measure of security, which doubles as a secondary lock if you need to keep your sliding door open.

Our hinged French doors feature a five-point locking system that runs along the entire length of the door. Five bolts at different spots are activated with a single locking action, creating a secure and consistent top-to-bottom seal. Additionally, we also offer exterior keyed locks for all patio door styles.

Hardware Finishes

With Renewal by Andersen, you don’t have to sacrifice style for security. Our hardware finishes complement the beauty of our patio door colors and finishes. We also offer dual hardware option finishes, if you want a completely different interior vs exterior look.

We offer eight different handle styles—from the clean, modern lines of our Anvers® style to the ornate Encino® style—available in 12 different colors and finishes, including white, stone, and several distressed or bright metal finishes. Our bronze hardware option features a “living” patina, which makes the hardware look more beautiful over time.

Finally, our Transferable Limited Warranty includes a 10-year coverage on all hardware. If the hardware fails from manufacturing defects, materials, or workmanship during this coverage period, we will replace or repair the hardware at no cost to you.
