The Basics of Renewal by Andersen®’s Window Warranty

Replacing your windows is a home improvement project that requires a significant investment. With that in mind, it’s understandable to want your new windows to last for as long as possible. Unfortunately, there are some instances when your new windows could sustain damage earlier than expected. This is where warranties come in.

Here’s what you can expect from Renewal by Andersen® of New Jersey’s window warranties:

Transferable Limited Warranty on Glass

Renewal by Andersen has numerous options for your window glass such as Low-E4 glass, high-performance Low-E4 Sun glass, and high performance SmartSun glass with HeatLock technology. These glasses are warranted to be free of defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for around 20 years from its original installation date and is warranted to not develop any material change in appearance due to manufacturing defects.

However, in the event a glass failure occurs because of a defect in manufacturing, the materials or workmanship within the limited warranty period, Renewal by Andersen will provide and install the appropriate replacement product or provide a factory-authorized repair of the existing glass for the remainder of the original limited warranty period. Take note; this warranty does not apply to special order glazings, art glass, insulated art glass or impact-resistant glass.

Transferable Limited Warranty on Installation

The installation of your Renewal by Andersen window replacement is warranted for a period of two years from the date of the original installation. At this time, should the window fail to perform according to our specifications due to improper installation, we will bring the workmanship up to our professional standards at no cost to you.

Transferable Limited Warranty on Fibrex® Material Components

Your window’s Fibrex material components such as the frame, sash and exterior grilles are warranted to withstand flaking, rust, blisters, peels, crack, pitting, corrosion or defects in materials, workmanship and manufacturing for a period of 20 years from its original installation date. If the Fibrex material component fails due to any kind of defect, similar to the warranty on glass, Renewal by Andersen will provide and install the replacement parts or provide a factory-authorized repair to the existing product for the remainder of the original limited warranty period.

Transferable Limited Warranty on Components Other Than Glass

Compared to the other component, the limited warranty on the non-glass portions of your windows such as the non-electric operators, locks, lifts, balance systems, hinges and handles are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship, manufacturing or materials for a period of 10 years from the original installation date. Likewise, if it were to fail prematurely, we will provide and install the replacement parts or provide the factory-authorized repair at no cost to you for the duration of the warranty period.
