Does Renewal by Andersen Have a Lifetime Warranty?

Renewal by Andersen doesn’t have a lifetime warranty. Many companies that advertise lifetime warranties only provide coverage for seven years. These warranties are often full of exclusions and are generally used as a selling point to get you to buy without clearly stating how long a lifetime is. It’s up to the seller to determine if it’s your lifetime, the product’s lifetime, the company’s lifetime or a specific number of years buried in the fine print.

 We offer transferable, limited warranties for our installation and components. Our warranties include the following terms:

• Automatic transfers: If you plan on moving, we offer automatic transfers of your window warranty to the next owner.
• No maintenance conditions: A common part of other companies’ warranties is that they’re contingent on maintenance. Our coverage isn’t affected by maintenance conditions.
• Free of location restrictions: We know how durable our products are, so we don’t change our terms based on your location. We’ll cover your window’s components from the mountains to the coast.
• All labor covered: Valid claims will have replacement labor covered only if one of our authorized installers does it.

How Long Are Renewal By Andersen^® Windows Warrantied?

Let’s take a look at what we cover, and for how long:

• Fibrex® material components: We cover all Fibrex® material components, including the window sash, frame and exterior grilles for 20 years. We guarantee Fibrex® windows won’t rust, blister, peel, crack, pit, corrode, flake or rot for 20 years after installation.
• Installation: We are installation experts. However, accountability is important to us, so we offer a 2-year installation warranty on any product failure due to workmanship errors.
• Non-glass components: We’re one of the few companies that covers secondary components like weatherstripping, locks, balance systems, and more, for which we offer a 10-year warranty. 
• Exterior color finish: We design our windows to maintain their curb appeal for a long time. So, we offer a 10-year warranty that our color finish on outside Fibrex^® material components won’t fade more than 5 delta-e, following ASTM D2244.
• Glass: This 20-year warranty applies to manufacturing, workmanship and material defects for our Low-E4^® and High-Performance™ glass options. It also includes patterned glass varieties, their tempered glass versions, and the SmartSun™ glass with HeatLock^® technology. It doesn’t cover special-order glazing, impact-resistant, or art glass, insulated or otherwise.
