Sliding Window Replacement

Replacing your sliding windows gives you an easy opportunity to improve the comfort, air quality and usability of your home. If you have older windows that no longer glide, are sticking or are allowing cold air in, then a sliding window replacement is a good solution.

Renewal by Andersen® replacement sliding windows are made with Fibrex® material which provides strength, smooth operation and consistent performance year-round.

When Is It Time to Replace Your Sliding Windows?

Some windows make the decision for you. Maybe your gliding window slides open on its own or your energy bill keeps climbing even though nothing else has changed. Fog between the panes, soft or peeling frames and drafts that show up every time the weather shifts are all signs your sliding windows are due for replacement.

Every Renewal by Andersen® replacement sliding window includes the following features.

Fibrex® Material Frames

Fibrex® material frames include a strong, stable composite made from reclaimed wood fiber and a thermoplastic polymer. These frames hold their shape through heat and cold, resist warping and do not rot, peel or corrode.

Energy-Efficient Design

Fewer moving parts mean fewer places for drafts to slip in. The interlocking sash helps create a tight seal, and the insulating performance of Fibrex® material supports steadier indoor temperatures than traditional aluminum. Add optional High-Performance Low-E4® glass for even better warm-weather efficiency.

Smooth Everyday Use

Self-lubricating rollers and stainless-steel axles give the sash a steady, easy glide. Both sashes lift out from the inside, so cleaning the exterior glass doesn’t require extra gear or awkward reaching. When you’re replacing sliding windows, this simple ease of use is often the biggest relief.

A Space-Friendly Profile

Because the sashes move side to side instead of in or out, sliding windows work well near walkways, patios and anywhere you want airflow without sacrificing space.

Options That Fit Your Style

You can choose from multiple interior and exterior colors, hardware finishes and grille patterns. Whether you want something that blends in or stands out, there are options to make the window match the rest of your home.
