    RBA of Westchester Signs Its Largest Project at The Quay

    Renewal by Andersen® of Westchester has secured its biggest project to date: a combination of windows and door replacements at The Quay, the premiere condominium complex in Tarrytown, NY. Our company will be completing work on a total of 89 residential units at the condominium.

    As you may already know, the construction of the $5 billion New NY Bridge to replace the old Tappan Zee Bridge is underway and is expected to be completed by 2018. However, major infrastructure projects have the potential to inconvenience or disturb persons who reside in or use the areas adjacent to construction and staging areas. Temporary effects to adjacent neighborhoods could include noise and vibrations from equipment and vehicles.

    Recognizing this concern, Congressman Eliot Engel was quoted saying: “The Tappan Zee Bridge is a vital project for the area, the region and the nation. While its economic effects are widespread, the immediate effect is on the people of Rockland and Westchester Counties.”

    In response, the Tappan Zee Constructors, a consortium of some of the most highly regarded design, engineering and construction firms, which is overseeing the project, has announced through newnybridge.com, its rejoinder: “Extensive measures will be in place throughout the duration of the project to protect the environment and to monitor the impact of construction on surrounding communities.”

    To reduce noise impact on affected areas, RBA has been chosen as the Westchester window company to replace windows and doors at The Quay, which is near the construction area. This is now officially the largest windows and doors replacement project in the history of our company.
